MINEDUC

The Minesty of Education

MINEDUC has many duties on their hands. We just mention some of their porjects and so much their functions here. Overall they aim to spread the use of ITC, to give out laptops and meals to children at school. They don't always have the finances to do it all but they are open to cooperation with NGOs and other well wishers.

Projects

  • The One Laptop per Child (OLPC) Project.

  • Rwanda Education Commons (REC) is a four-year program funded by USAID to promote the effective use of ICTs in education.
  • Mineduc-School Management (VVOB)
  • Rwanda Research Innovation Endowment Fund (RIEF)
  • Rwanda Reads (see more here).
  • Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KFP)

Purpose/Mission Statement

  • "The mission of the Ministry of Education is to transform the Rwandan citizen into skilled human capital for socio-economic development of the country by ensuring equitable access to quality education focusing on combating illiteracy, promotion of science and technology, critical thinking and positive values".
