The Bridge - Aalborg
"Broen Aalborg"
The Bridge in Aalborg is a local and independent association, which is a member of the nationwide association. In Aalborg we are a group of volunteers, who help families with financial difficulties, to pay for kontigents to sports and activites as well as appropriate clothes, equipment etc. Families must be appointed by a proffessionel who knows the family.
If you are interested in volunteering you can help with PR, update the web-page, help with fundraising, shopping for clothes to the children or help with transportation.
Service
- Financial support to exposed children; so that they can participate in sports on equal terms with their friends.
Purpose
- The Bridge supports children and youths, who are not part of and sports organisations and whose families are exposed and have trouble giving the children access to participate in sports.
Other Information
- Established in: November 2009 in Aalborg. The first was started in 2002 in Horsens.
- No religious or political associations
- Open for new members as long as the volunteer is interested in making a difference for the families.
- Demands for families: You must be appointed by a professional, who knows your situation. This could be a social worker, a school nurse or teacher. After that we will talk to the family.
- Demands for members: Individual memberships are 50 kr. a year and business memberships are 1000 kr. a year.
- No employees. 5 volunteers
- Donors: §18 from Aalborg municipality and from the nationwide organisation.

Aid Evaluator seeks volunteers to help find information about organizations.
To gather all of the information needed to help people, all over the world, volunteers play an essential role at Aid Evaluator. The hope is that ordinary, as well as extraordinary, people will become responsible for their local area. Being responsible means updating the site on the available offers of help and trying to keep this information updated.

Aid Evaluator does not want you money, it wants your backing and your specific knowledge, about projects that help.
Furthermore, Aid Evaluator needs publicity. If people can neither find the help they seek, nor add information about the projects they know of, simply because they are not aware of the existence of Aid Evaluator; it won't do much good.
So do spread the word though Facebook, for instance. The Charity Review is the same as Aid Evaluator only focused on Denmark; to get at least one country to work. The idea cannot work without massive support.
