Asylum Forum Aalborg

Makes an improved network between Danes, Asylumseekers and former refugees. This is done by visiting camps and making events in coordination with the involved Refugees. It is not a them and us organization but something that is done together, to place focus on the fact that Refugees are a resource and not a burden to Danish society.

Purpose

• All people are of value and there is much we can learn from each other. The debate on asylum-seekers is often too negative considering how much Denmark could benefit if people we given a better chance and treated with respect. We hope to give the refugees in Northern Jutland an outlet and to learn and benefit from each other.

Other Information

• Established in 2012
• No political associations or religious associations

• 100 for Danes and 25 kr. for refugees (you need not be a member to join).

• Denmands for users: You must believe in our aim to join the group
• Open for Volunteers: Absolutely - although you will be a member of the group and whatever you volunteer is up to your own judgement.

 

Finansielle informationer

• Expenses: Events, transportation for visits at the centers, snacks for lage meetings etc.
• Donors: Aalborg kommune and smaller donors like Silvan and Bilka
• App. 40 volunteers
• Lacks: We hope that we at some point are able to create something similar to Trampolinhuset in Copenhagen.
