Ældresagen in Als (North Jutland)

 

Ældresagen, directly translated, means cause of the elders. It is not only for seniors but they are the targeted group and every fourth Dane above 50 is a member. There are 55.000 members and 10.000 active volunteers, who carry out some of the activities offered.

 

It is 230 kr. a year to be a member, which is required if you wish to use their service. For more information about Ældresagen; see the Aid Evaluators nationwide site for Ældresagen.

 

 

 

In Als Ældresagen offers

  • Matching volunteers with the elders, who would like someone to keep them company, once in a while. Contact Lilli Harbo at 98 57 19 53 for more information.

  • Bowling in Øster Hurup Bowlinghall. On thusdays at 10 or from 11-12. Contact Knud Knudsen at 98 58 14 64, if you would like to join.

  • Bridge in Hadsund. Every wednesday at 13:30 by Hadsund KulturCenter, Kirkegade 2-4, Hadsund. Contact: Eva Sommer, tlf. 98 57 42 46, if you would like to join.
  • Biking in Hadsund every wednesday from 9 to 12. Departs from Hadsund busterminal. Contact: Kurt Ladefoged, tlf: 98 57 36 80, if you would like to join.
  • Patanque in Hadsund every tuesday at 9:30 by the fussball practice areas at the HB Clubhouse. Contact: Aage Danmark, tlf: 98 58 52 96, if you would like to join.

 

 

 

 
     

Aid Evaluator seeks volunteers to help find information about organisations.

 

To gather all of the information needed to help people, all over the world, volunteers play an essential role at Aid Evaluator. The hope is that ordinary, as well as extraordinary, people will become responsible for their local area. Being responsible means updating the site on the available offers of help and trying to keep this information updated.

Aid Evaluator does not want you money, it wants your backing and your specific knowledge, about projects that help.

Furthermore, Aid Evaluator needs publicity. If people can neither find the help they seek, nor add information about the projects they know of, simply because they are not aware of the existence of Aid Evaluator; it won't do much good.

So do spread the word though Facebook, for instance. The Charity Review is the same as Aid Evaluator only focused on Denmark; to get at least one country to work. The idea cannot work without massive support..
